Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Equine Management (1080)(2nd Year)

  • For those age 16+
  • Programme runs from September to July
  • Full time, minimum 17 ½ hours per week
  • Riding or non riding option

  • Receive a horse and carry out an initial assessment
  • Plan diets and implement feeding regimes for horses
  • Monitor and maintain stocks of feed and bedding
  • Promote the health and wellbeing of horses
  • Deliver basic health care treatment to horses
  • Promote, monitor, and maintain health and safety
  • Manage your own resources
  • Tack up horses for specialist work
  • Prepare horses for public
  • Care for horses after competition
  • Clip horses
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a work
  • Prepare and maintain grazing
  • Manage horses when turned
