An update for Doncaster Equine College Learners, Parents and Carers

An update for Doncaster Equine College Learners, Parents and Carers:

You will be aware that the Education Secretary announced yesterday afternoon that state schools and colleges across the country will close tomorrow until further notice as part of the Nation’s efforts to limit the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. I regret that the Doncaster Equine College Programme here at the NHC also will close for the foreseeable future. We will do what we can to deliver some training via digital platforms, provide guidance on continued portfolio work and, of course, as much ongoing encouragement as practically possible.

Our aim will be to enable successful completion of the qualifications on which our learners are embarked. However, in these extraordinary and unpredictable circumstances, we have to acknowledge that we cannot guarantee outcomes.

We will continue to keep learners informed of developments as and when things change. If you have specific questions, for example, if you are a key worker and wish to discuss alternative arrangements, please do get in touch with Rachael Proudley in the first instance, via info@theNHC.co.uk.

Yours faithfully, Colonel Stephen Padgett OBE Chief Executive The National Horseracing College
